J.S. Bach's St. John's Passion was first performed on Good Friday of 1724. We'll be performing it on Palm Sunday of 2003.

The complex harmonies and the counterpoint between the double choruses in St. John's Passion were a fairly radical departure from traditional passions of the time. We hope you'll find it as pleasing in the early twenty-first century as it was surprising in the early eighteenth century.
